SAXOPHONE 

 

Sophie plays Tenor, Alto, Soprano and Baritone Saxophones.

 

Coming from a family of Saxophonists Sophie picked up the Sax for her role in West End show 'Dreamboats and Petticoats' where she discovered a talent for pirouetting and back-bending with the Tenor Sax!

 

Since then Sophie has played Sax in Actor/Musician shows such as 'Guys and Dolls', 'Radio Times', 'Sweet Charity', 'The Threepenny Opera' and was lead Tenor Player in 'Our House' the Madness Musical!

 

Sophie gigs with various Function Bands all over the country and has enjoyed playing big band music with The Mack Big Band, and at The Wilderness Festival with 'Karaorkestra'.

Corporate events include regular gigs for Alpha Club at Cafe de Paris, Proud Cabaret and the Baglioni Hotel.

Sophie also regularly plays her own solo jazz gigs playing at garden parties and funcitons across the country. She has also played with some of the countries top DJ's performing her Sax and DJ set.

Sophie is the proud creator of The Daisy Chains - the all girl, all singing, all playing rock 'n' roll band.

The girls play interesting arrangements of modern pop songs in a 50's style as well as classic rock 'n' roll.

​

Sophie had the wonderful idea of creating The Daisy Chains whilst working on a show at The Watermill Theatre. Knowing so many talented girls, she wanted to create a unique girl band where everyone sings and plays in equal talent. 

​

As well as playing Tenor Sax and Singing, Sophie also runs the band and creates all the bespoke arrangements.

​

The Daisy Chains have lucky enough to play some fantastic gigs including The Grand National, Proud Cabaret, Epsom Derby Ladies Day, Twinwood Festival, City Hall for the Mayor of London and even the O2!
